Transfesa Logistics has launched a new refrigerated transport express by train from Spain to Great Britain. The two new routes run from Valencia and Murcia to Great Britain, and are catered to the current demand of food items and hygiene products. The journey takes 72 hours.

“With the launch of these rail routes, the company adapts its services to the current demand, where the delivery of food items take precedence to guarantee the population’s supply”, the company says. Currently, the lines serve various companies in the sector for which fruits and vegetables are transported.

Cooled transport

The transport of products that require a cooled environment are moved in refrigerated containers. The objective is to expand the service with a daily train. For this purpose, a lighter container from UNIT 45 will be used. This allows moving around 30 containers per train, Transfesa Logistics explained. “In this way, more products can be included and the capacity of each journey can be expanded.
