70,000 people marching the streets of Brussels, demanding climate action now. It is a sign of the times. Citizens worldwide are demanding that leaders of government and industry take decisive action today.
With its heavy reliance on road transport, the freight sector is responsible for 275 million tonnes of annual CO2 emissions in Europe. But it doesn’t have to be.
Belgian and European rail freight companies are joining forces to commit to a modal shift from road to rail. We have a plan. It is concrete, ambitious but realistic, and has great potential for positive impact.
Please join us for the launch and presentation of our commitment on 20th February 2019 in Schaerbeek, Brussels.

Arrival and revealing of Noah’s Train the world’s longest mobile street artwork symbolizing how rail freight will save the day
Rail Freight Forward is the coalition of European rail freight companies that are committed to drastically reducing the negative impact of freight transport on the planet and mobility through a more intelligent transport mix.
The coalition has the ambition to increase the modal share of rail freight to 30% by 2030 as the macro-economically better solution for European growth. It strives to engage railway undertakings, infrastructure managers and policymakers across Europe in acting to realize this modal shift.
About Noah’s Train
Inspired by the oldest tale of environmental activism, Noah’s Train symbolizes what the Rail Freight Forward coalition aims to achieve in Europe: to help save our planet by massively shifting the transport of goods from road to rail. Why? Because it’s the only way to halt the increasing negative impact of the transport sector on climate, mobility and health.
On February 20th, Noah’s Train will arrive in Brussels after a tour that started at the climate conference in Katowice and went through Vienna, Berlin, Paris. In each of these cities, local street artists transformed it into the world’s longest mobile street artwork ever.
