The objective is to offer support to companies in the sector that are interested in providing these intermodal transport services.
Adif has created a Support and Advice Office for the start-up of railway highways , which will act as a single window, coordinating the management for the implementation of this type of service.
The objective is to offer support to companies in the sector that are interested in providing these intermodal transport services, through advice on technical and economic feasibility, path management, wagon availability and financial aid, among others.
In this sense, information will be provided on the priority corridors to implement this type of service , the proposals put forward by the operators will be analyzed, and the preliminary analyzes of their technical feasibility and economic, social and environmental profitability will be validated.
Operators will also be guided to process requests for exceptional transport , allocation of capacity, contracts for the provision of services in terminals, aid and subsidies, and the entire process will be monitored until the commissioning of the infrastructure.
Within the framework of this initiative, a working group has been set up in Adif that will coordinate and provide an agile response to the projects. In this way, the aim is to promote the use of the railway motorway corridors available to the sector and accompany interested companies, who can access this office through the enabled mailbox .
The creation of the Support and Advice Office is part of one of the six lines of action of the 'Goods 30' plan , and is part of Axis 6 of the 2030 Safe, Sustainable and Connected Mobility Strategy of the Ministry of Transport.
