The European Rail Infrastructure Managers (EIM), the European Rail Freight Association (ERFA), the European Rail Freight Customers Platform (ERFCP) and the International Rail-Road Union (UIRR) have organised a conference on “Improving Rail Freight Logistics”.

This one day conference took place in Brussels on 7th March 2007, with the support of the European Commission. High-level speakers from the European institutions and the overall railway industry will present concrete examples of and proposals for efficient ways to:

  • Improve freight logistics through operational measures
  • Improve freight logistics through corridors
  • Improve freight logistics through better funding
  • Improve freight logistics through intermodality

Mr. Colle, Director General UIRR, has presented what the liberalisation has brought to intermodalism so far, especially for the CT Road-Rail.
