Friuli Venezia Giulia extends contributions on intermodality
With two provisions, the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region has reopened the terms for applying for contributions for combined transport and for services dedicated to the development of intermodality. In the first case, the Region has allocated five million euros as part of the 2023 financial management budget, allocated in the framework of Regional Law number 7 of 24 March 2004.
This law grants grants for the construction of rest areas for road haulage and terminals for combined transport. The recipients of this contribution are the "private entities operating in the sector of transport, traffic and handling of goods, with the exclusion of their own account, having at least one effectively operational office in the territory of Friuli Venezia Giulia".
Five million euros are also available for grants on intermodal transport, on the basis of Regional Law number 15 of 24 May 2004. These funds are used to develop intermodal railway transport services departing from or arriving at logistic and port nodes located in the regional territory for offset the costs of the infrastructure, for infra-regional shuttle rail intermodal transport services, for new maritime intermodal services for goods departing from or arriving in the region or on infra-regional routes.
