SGV 2022 leicht gewachsen – Rekordwert bei tkm

Statistik Die Bahnen haben im Jahr 2022 laut Güterverkehrsstatistik der Eisenbahn von Destatis insgesamt 358,8  Mio. t Güter transportiert, 0,4% mehr als 2021. Die Verkehrsleistung lag bei 124,5 Mrd. tkm, damit 1,2% über dem Vorjahr.

Zuvor, von 2020 auf 2021, lagen die Wachstumsraten mit 11,7% (Mengen) bzw. 13,5% (Leistung) deutlich höher, kamen allerdings auch von einem besonders niedrigen Corona-Niveau 2020.

Die 124,5 Mrd. tkm Beförderungsleistung 2022 sind ein Rekordwert der verfügbaren Daten seit 2005. Schon 2021 war mit 123,1 t ein zwischenzeitlicher Bestwert aufgestellt worden. Die Transportmenge 2022 war der beste Wert seit 2015, als mit 367,3 Mio. t etwas mehr auf der Schiene transportiert wurde.

Die Monatsauswertung für 2022 zeigt, dass 2022 die Transportmengen besonders zum Jahresende hin abnahmen. Im Oktober und November sanken sie um –5,1% bzw. –1,9% zum jeweiligen Vorjahresmonat, im Dezember sogar um –10,2%. Bei der Beförderungsleistung war der Effekt schwächer, aber auch sie sank im Dezember um –8,7%.

Rail freight transport statistics in Germany.

According to Destatis, the railways transported a total of 358.8 million tonnes of goods in 2022, 0.4% more than in 2021. The rail freight transport performance was 124.5 billion tkm, 1.2% more than in the previous year.

Before that, from 2020 to 2021, the growth rates were significantly higher at 11.7% (volumes) and 13.5% (performance), but also came from a particularly low corona level in 2020.

The 124.5 billion tkm transport performance 2022 is a record value of the available data since 2005. In 2021 an interim best value was set with 123.1 t. The transport volume in 2022 was the best value since 2015, when slightly more was transported by rail at 367.3 million tonnes.

The monthly evaluation for 2022 shows that in 2022 the transport volumes decreased, especially towards the end of the year. In October and November they fell by -5.1% and -1.9% respectively compared to the same month of the previous year, and in December by as much as -10.2%. The effect on transport performance was weaker, but it also fell by –8.7% in December.
