The operator now runs four round trips per week on the corridor, linking the Rhine-Neckar region with the North Sea port of Bremerhaven.

TX Logistik has added a new intermodal connection between Bremerhaven and Mannheim to its maritime hinterland network. The new service strengthens TX Logistik’s presence in Germany’s inland-seaport rail segment. With Mannheim acting as a key intermodal node in southwestern Germany, the addition offers an alternative for container traffic moving between southern industrial areas and maritime gateways.

According to the company, the service is integrated into its existing network, which includes regular connections to major ports such as Hamburg and Wilhelmshaven. TX Logistik aims to align the new route with time-sensitive and high-frequency flows typical in maritime transport, providing fixed schedules for planning reliability.

The Bremerhaven–Mannheim route adds to the operator’s portfolio of rail corridors that aim to shift long-haul container movements from road to rail. TX Logistik operates as part of Mercitalia Logistics, a subsidiary of the Italian state railway group FS Italiane, and runs services across several European countries, focusing on transalpine and domestic intermodal transport.
