Loading guide applicable to Intermodal Traffic Units 08/09/05

The Combined Road-Rail Transport is subject to a number of technical prescriptions, in particular:

• For loading the transport units on the wagon, conformity between the specifications of the wagons and the loading unit is necessary.
• Rules had been laid down for the loading of the goods into the loading units according to the type and the packaging material.

These two documents includes the basic rules which are to respect when loading all types of ILU (semi-trailers, swap bodies, container, flat,....) no matter whether these are moved by road or on a wagon.
