UIRR / INTERUNIT 2008 Assemblies/Conference - Portoroz 05/06/08

At the invitation of its Slovenian member company ADRIA KOMBI, the UIRR chose to organise its 2008 Assemblies, Gala Dinner and Congress on the seashore Portoroz (adjacent to the maritime port of Koper), more precisely in the hotel BERNARDIN on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 June.

This choice is not fortuitous: Slovenia takes on the six-monthly presidency of the European Union from January to June 2008 and we thought it wise to make this very welcoming country also the European centre of Combined Transport on this occasion.

Mr. Jacques Barrot, Vice-president of the European Commission and Commissioner for Transport, has confirmed us in writing that he principally agrees to attend our conference; he will of course be our guest of honour.
