The standard EN 13044-1 introduces an owner-code for the identification of European intermodal loading units, the ILU-Code, which is compatible with the worldwide BIC-Code used for containers according to ISO 6346.
The standard EN 13044-1 named UIRR as the administrator of the ILU owner code serving all actors of intermodal transport in Europe. The marking on every loading unit appears as follows:

UIRR allocates the Owner-Key as from 1 July 2011. You may apply for Code using www.ilu-code.eu.
