FENIX: a European Federated Network of Information eXchange in LogistiX

FENIX (European Federated Network of Information eXchange in LogistiX) is a 3-year long Connecting Europe Facility project aiming to support the development, validation and deployment of the digital information systems along the EU transport Core Network.

The overall aim of the project is to develop the European federated architecture for data sharing in the form of digital corridor information systems serving the European logistics community.

FENIX network

There are 43 beneficiaries, 2 member states and 23 implementation bodies supporting the development, validation and deployment of the digital information systems along the EU transport Core Network.

The 11 pilot sites will roll out in 9 European countries and further developed the work conducted under Living Labs in AEOLIX and SELIS projects by structuring the actors and services according to corridors.

FENIX will provide the appropriate digital framework to perform collaborative planning, efficient and sustainable operations and execution monitoring in various corridor scenarios and contexts. In the long term, the project will contribute to the improvement of the efficiency of European transport and logistics.

UIRR is involved in the FENIX's Dutch pilot site and is responsible for the development of IT tools / reference files for the intermodal sector (among others a Register of all intermodal loading units).
