ILU-Tech Webinar – 4 September 2026
On 4 September 2026, BRIDGE hosted a webinar focusing on technical reference data for intermodal loading units and the role of data interoperability in the development of more connected European rail freight services.
The webinar introduced the relevance of the new Telematics Applications TSI and its requirements for standardised data exchange and reference data. UIRR presented the current status of ILU-Tech, the technical database for ILU loading units, including planned developments for data population, bulk uploads and improved data management.
The session also featured BIC’s BOX-Tech, providing practical experience with an established technical reference database for container data. The presentations were followed by a discussion on the future interoperability of ILU-Tech and BOX-Tech, including the possibility of a common access layer, data queries and automated data exchange with other systems.
The webinar concluded with a Q&A session covering database access, loading unit types, data sharing, implementation timelines and future technical interfaces.
