The Industry Association of Combined Transport in Europe
Since October 1970, UIRR actively promotes Combined Transport, primarily towards European decision-makers and facilitates the enhancement of the sector, while also supporting the daily functioning of this ecologically and economically sustainable mode of long(er) distance freight transport.
The UIRR Galaxy
UIRR stands out with its membership, whereby only direct practitioners of Combined Transport, operators and terminal managers, are its members. Various associations, who share the objectives of UIRR may align themselves through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Providers of intermodal technologies such as intermodal loading units, intermodal wagons, transhipment technologies and other terminal solutions, as well as IT systems, interact with UIRR in the capacity of Technology Partner.
