Entwicklung einer Schaufensterplattform für einheitliche Fahrpläne des Kombinierten Verkehrs

The EiFa-S project is coordinated by Studiengesellschaft für den Kombinierten Verkehr e.V. (SGKV), HaCon Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH, ALICE (Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration in Europe), and UIRR. It is a national project in Germany funded under the mFUND programme by the German Federal Ministry of Transport (BMV)

The project will use the results of the EiFa feasibility study (July 2022–June 2023), which developed standardized CT timetables, to design a technical system architecture that will make CT connections visible, usable, and ready for market uptake.

EiFaS will improve upon the Intermodal Map, which currently provides open, barrier-free CT terminal information, by developing a new showcase platform. This platform will integrate:
- Harmonized timetable data
- terminal details;
- CT connection information

The system aims to deliver all information across the intermodal chain through an intuitive, user-friendly, map-based interface. It will give the intermodal community a comprehensive overview of CT services.

In addition, a collaboration lab is under development. It will enable shippers and trucking companies to simulate and test potential combined transport routes cooperatively. In addition to rail and road routes, the system will also take into account waterway routes, including inland waterway transport.

Ultimately, the underlying objective of this project is to pave the way for Europe-wide harmonisation of CT timetables.
