𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 - including UIRR - to offer a plea to Minister Patrick Schnieder at the German Federal Ministry of Transport for taking the needs of intermodal rail freight into account.
The 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (a.k.a. Korridorsanierungen) practice of DB InfraGO (Evelyn Palla) disregards the need to maintain servicing economic actors and military mobility by rail freight. The refurbishment routine should be changed to preserve the necessary train paths for freight trains (𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝟵𝟬% 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀) both by maintaining traffic on one track of the two under renovation and by offering adequate train paths on the designated bypass routes.
𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗺𝗯𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 for operating costs on excessive bypass routes should be paid by the infrastructure manager.
