Contargo launches new connection to France

29.08.2025 | On September 1st, the first train will depart on the new Contargo DDS (Duisburg Dourges Shuttle) service, which will connect the DIT intermodal terminal in Duisburg, Germany, with Lille Dourges in Northern France. The new service is connected to direct connections to Poland, the Czech Republic, and China.
The train between Duisburg and Dourges will run three times a week in both directions according to a fixed timetable. Departures from the DIT terminal are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and from the LDCT (Dourges) on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
“With three round trips per week and a fixed timetable, we are creating new opportunities in combined transport between Germany and France while making a significant contribution to climate protection,” the statement read.
The Dourges terminal offers onward shipments to locations such as Fos-sur-Mer, Lyon, Marseille, Miramas, Mouguerre, Paris, Perpignan, and Rennes. The Duisburg terminal offers connections to Poland, among others. Contargo also operates connections between Dourges and terminals in Kutno (PCC Intermodal) and Krzewie (Miratrans).
