22.08.2025 | The project will be executed under a design-and-build model and is expected to be completed by June 2026.
CLIP Group's subsidiary, Container Terminal Mala, has signed an agreement with Polish infrastructure firm TorKol for the construction of a new intermodal terminal in Małaszewicze.
Located at the eastern edge of the EU, the terminal will be built within the Free Customs Zone in Małaszewicze. The site is positioned near the junction of broad gauge (1520 mm) and standard gauge (1435 mm) networks, with planned facilities for both rail-road and rail-rail transshipment. The terminal aims to support freight flows between China and Europe in both directions.
The infrastructure package includes the construction of a new track layout, modernisation of arrival and departure lines, development of access roads and yards, as well as the installation of cargo-handling technology and digital control systems.
TorKol, based in Tychy, will take on full responsibility for both the design and construction phases. The firm will manage all aspects of the build, including coordination and delivery. TorKol is known for its involvement in large-scale railway construction and modernisation projects across Poland.
The terminal is part of CLIP Group’s efforts to expand its intermodal capabilities in Eastern Europe. The company currently operates other logistics hubs in Poland and has positioned Małaszewicze as a key link for containerised freight flows between the EU and the broader Eurasian region.
