10.02.2026 | The train departed from the Sknyliv–Lisky terminal in Lviv and is heading to the East West Gate terminal in Fényeslitka.

UZ Cargo Poland, together with East West Gate Terminal, sent a freight train on the route from Lviv to Fényeslitke in Hungary.

The transport is carried out in cooperation with several technical partners. Lisky CTS provided specialized 1520 mm track areas, while R2L supplied technology and equipment for loading non-crane trailers onto 1435 mm track areas. Sun Smart Logistics contributed loading technology for non-crane trailers onto 1520 mm track areas.

The operation uses modernized 1520 mm gauge platforms and specialized equipment that allows the transport of semi-trailers without tractors. At the East West Gate terminal, the semi-trailers will be transferred to 1435 mm gauge T3000 platforms for further transport within the EU.

According to stakeholders, this transport represents a functional solution for the transport of semi-trailers between Ukraine and EU countries using a combination of 1520 mm and 1435 mm gauge rolling stock.
